Photographic fine art drawn from the temples and traditions of Kyoto, Japan. The Celestial Guardian series presents two mythical protector figures, Keeper of the Realms and The Watchful Protector, in intricate black and white, their swirling detail set against dark grounds. Rooted in Japanese guardian iconography and rendered with the drama of fantasy illustration, they are striking pieces for a study, entrance hall, martial-arts space or any room that calls for a single strong image.
Black and white prints are the easiest of all to place: they sit with any colour scheme and gain presence in a black frame. The two guardians are conceived as a pair and are often hung together.
Prints are made on 100% cotton rag archival paper in A3, A2 or A1, framed in matte black, matte white or natural timber, or supplied unframed. Printed and framed in Australia; framed pieces are covered by a 10-year guarantee.
